Meet the Team

NICHOLAS M. FOBE

NICHOLAS M. FOBE grew up in Belgium, where he learned French, Dutch, English, German and is currently learning Spanish. In part because of his international background, he has developed an interest in how U.S. laws affect non-U.S. citizens living in the United States. Mr. Fobe studied law at the Universities of Fordham, Georgetown and Exeter. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. He is a sought after lecturer on Trust and Estates, Estate and Gift Taxation at International Organizations including the World Bank, IMF, IDB, OAS, PAHO, and several Federal Credit Unions of International Organizations. Mr. Fobe has taught a course on Wills and Estates for the paralegal program at Georgetown University.

NATALIE ASSAAD

NATALIE ASSAAD is a dual Egyptian-American citizen, who grew up in various New England states and recently moved to the District of Columbia from Boston, Massachusetts. She recently graduated from Gordon College with a major in International Affairs and a minor in Pre-Law. Thanks to her Lebanese and Egyptian parents, Natalie grew up speaking French and Arabic and enjoys every opportunity to communicate in those languages.

In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, the guitar, and volunteering at a local safe home for survivors of domestic violence. Given her own international background, Natalie enjoys assisting the International Community as a paralegal at Verstegen & Fobe.
