Meet the Team

NICHOLAS M. FOBE

 NICHOLAS M. FOBE grew up in Belgium, where he learned French, Dutch, English, German and is currently learning Spanish. In part because of his international background, he has developed an interest in how U.S. laws affect non-U.S. citizens living in the United States. Mr. Fobe studied law at the Universities of Fordham, Georgetown and Exeter. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. He is a sought after lecturer on Trust and Estates, Estate and Gift Taxation at International Organizations including the World Bank, IMF, IDB, OAS, PAHO, and several Federal Credit Unions of International Organizations. Mr. Fobe has taught a course on Wills and Estates for the paralegal program at Georgetown University. 

ASHLEY HENNE

 ASHLEY HENNE is a dual German-American citizen, who grew up in Germany and later moved to Washington, D.C. She graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2017, with a double major in Anthropology and Sociology, and a minor in Classics. Ashley is fluent in German and English, and likes to brush up on her Spanish and Modern Greek when she gets the chance. As a language enthusiast, Ashley also enjoys translating Ancient Greek and Latin texts. She also tutors and coaches students from the German International School in soccer on the weekends. With her international background, Ashley enjoys assisting the International Community as a paralegal at  Verstegen & Fobe.
